Felix Auger-Aliassime (3) meets Ugo Humbert (6) in the quarter finals of the 2021 Stuttgart Open on Friday, June 11th 2021.

Will Ugo Humbert get another win over FAA under his belt here in Stuttgart or will FAA be able to get revenge for his loss in their only ever prior encounter where he lost against Ugo on grass in the Round of 32 of Wimbledon in 2019?

Ugo Humbert beat the big hitting Yannick Hanfmann in 2 sets 7-6/6-2, continuing to improve his game as he has not really been at his best in the last couple months. Ugo Humbert is a tough player to beat on fast courts, and he will be happy that the clay swing is now over. Humbert is now looking to continue making a name for himself and hopefully get himself into the top 20 in the world, but he is going to have to go deep in some big tournaments this year if he is going to achieve this.

FAA beat Lloyd Harris in the second round in 2 sets 6-3/7-6. FAA is a very good player when he is on top of his game, and he will also be happy that he is now playing in faster conditions where he is able to dictate plays due to the speed of his serve and forehand catching his opponents out. FAA is now with Toni Nadal and I am sure that he will be training the youngster up to be at the highest level he can be now that he has a better understanding of his strengths and weaknesses after having worked for over a month together.

This is going to be the 2nd meeting between both players, with Humbert having won their last encounter at Wimbledon in 2019. Humbert is a strong player and he has been playing some good tennis here in Stuttgart, but he is not as powerful as FAA in my opinion. FAA loves these grass conditions more than Ugo, and he will want to get the better of his fellow youngster on the ATP Tour. Humbert will still keep this match tight as he will be confident, but FAA will come out on top in the end.
