Felix Auger-Aliassime has long been considered one of the best young players in world tennis, and despite him being a mainstay in the top 20 recently, he is still seeking his elusive first ATP title. He has made a whopping eight finals in his young career, but has always struggled with the pressure of getting over the line. He has a great opportunity here to end his season with a title as the number two seed but will first have to get through a very strong and experienced opponent in Filip Krajinovic. The Serbian has caused numerous upsets in his career and is very experienced, so FAA will have to be at his best to get by here.

Filip Krajinovic has long been ranked inside the top 50 in the world rankings and is a veteran of the ATP Tour. the Serbian has had a lot of success throughout his career. However, since reaching the Semi-Finals in Sofia over a month ago he has hardly won a match, and his prospects of breaking that streak here against Felix Auger-Aliassime seem bleak. He overcame Denis Istomin in the First Round yesterday but knows that he will have to be even better against the Canadian in order to get the win. He is the underdog but under the right conditions he is very capable of springing the upset.

This is a tough opening round match for Felix Auger-Aliassime, but I expect him to pass the test and get through here. The Canadian has matured over the past year and is no longer as prone to losing his focus as he was in the past. Getting past Krajinovic will give him enough confidence to believe that he can go all the way here, and I am feeling like this is finally the tournament that FAA breaks his streak and wins the title. One step at a time though, and he will first defeat Krajinovic to move on to the Quarter-Finals here at the 2021 Stockholm Open.
