Azarenka looked respectable given it was her first match in 2 and a half months. Azarenka looks to win at least 2 matches in each of her last 4 tournaments. Azarenka won the only match against Martincova, which came in the 2021 US Open. The match was decided in straight sets and 16 games.

Give Martincova credit for winning her opening match, but we can’t ignore she entered this tournament on a 5-match losing streak. Martincova also had double-digit break chances, which won’t fly against somebody like Azarenka. As Ive said before, this is some of the best tennis Azarenka has played since her absence when she was pregnant. 

Give me Azarenka, and I’ll take her in straight sets to shave the price down.
