When he is on form, he is near unbeatable on hard courts, and will be eager to get his US Open title defense preparations off to a good start. A title win here will guarantee that he keeps his top ranking so that is additional motivation. He is the big favorite here against Miomir Kecmanovic and it will take a huge effort from the Serbian to cause the upset here.

Miomir Kecmanovic is the fourth seed at the Los Cabos Open and is ranked 38th in the world after a strong season this year. The owner of a 28-15 record on the season thumped Jordan Thompson the round before he did the same to Brandon Nakashima. He has simply been fantastic this entire season and if there is ever a time that he can cause this massive over Daniil Medvedev, this is it. He has the solid all-around game to cause some damage, but it remains to be seen how it will fare against the elite defense of his opponent.
