Two experienced players will meet here in the Quarter-Finals in Adelaide, as former US Open champion Marin Cilic will face Tommy Paul. Both players will be hoping to get the win here as they continue their preparations for the Australian Open, who will win and advance to the Semis?

Marin Cilic is the fourth seed here at the Adelaide International Open and is most famous for winning the 2014 US Open title. The former top 5 player is approaching the end of his career now, but remains a very dangerous player, capable of some strong results. He received a bye in the First Round and then defeated talented Spaniard Jaume Munar in the Round of 16, serving extremely well to win in straight sets. His serve is a huge weapon, and he won almost 90% of his first serve points and hit 10 aces. He is the slight favorite here against Tommy Paul but if he is not at his best, his opponent is more than capable of springing the upset.

Tommy Paul is unseeded here in Adelaide and has had a decent start to the year, reaching the Quarter-Finals in Adelaide last week and repeating the feat this week. He defeated fellow American Frances Tiafoe in the First Round before moving past Benjamin Bonzi in the Round of 16 to set this clash with Marin Cilic up. He won a title at the end of last year in Stockholm and has continue that form into 2022, so his confidence will be high here.

This will be a very close match between two in-form players, and should be very exciting to watch.
