Miami Open: Jannik Sinner vs. Hubert Hurkacz 4/4/21 Tennis Prediction

Jannik Sinner will face Hubert Hurkacz in a very unexpected Final at the 2021 Miami Open, but one that is sure to be very exciting. The match is scheduled to be played on Sunday April 4th, 2021 at 1:00pm EST.

This is a Final that no-one would have expected, with the bigger names like Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas expected to take the title here. However these two man have been outstanding thus far and fully deserve to be here in the Final. Who will win the battle of the youngsters and claim their first ATP-1000 title?

Jannik Sinner is considered a future superstar of the ATP Tour and has been in impressive form so far here at the 2021 Miami Open. His Semi-Final win over Roberto Bautista-Agut had all his best qualities on full display, with his maturity and focus the key factors there. He has a huge baseline game but it is the mental side that is so impressive about the young Italian, seemingly never getting flustered despite the situation. Even though he is only 19 years old, he already has two ATP titles to his name and is considered the slight favorite to win here over his opponent Hubert Hurkacz. They play similar styles but Sinner is more composed and consistent, and will have his eyes set on the title here at the 2021 Miami Open.

Hubert Hurkacz has also been in fantastic form here at the 2021 Miami Open. Despite entering this match as the slight underdog, he has a huge game and is certainly capable of winning here. He has won four huge matches in a row, upsetting Raonic, Shapovalov, Tsitsipas and Rublev in consecutive matches, and in this current form I am not sure that the underdog tag is a fair one. Rublev was an overwhelming favorite for the title after Medvedev and Tsitsipas lost, but Hurkacz dismissed him quite easily, 6-3, 6-4 to set up the Final clash with Sinner.

This is sure to be an exciting match, with lots of flashy shot making by the two young stars. Both players have had an incredible tournament and will be eager to win here in their first Masters-1000 Final. All things considered, I am going with Jannik Sinner to win here. There is not much to separate the two, but his incredible focus will be the key here, and he is a lot less likely to become flustered or give free points away. Three sets is very likely, but expect the young superstar Jannik Sinner to get the win here and claim his first of many ATP-1000 titles.
