His game relies on his serve and big forehand, and those are not quite as penetrating on clay. If he serves well, he should be considered the favorite here but his opponent Jaume Munar is an experienced campaigner, comfortable on this surface.

Jaume Munar is also unseeded here at the Madrid Masters, and will be looking to the home support to get through here against Thanasi Kokkinakis. Ranked 88 in the world, he has a better clay court pedigree than his opponent Thanasi Kokkinakis but has also been in poor form this year, at only 6/11. However, all of his 6 wins have been on clay, and his steady game make him extremely difficult to beat.

This is another match to avoid, as it is between two unreliable players and can go either way. Both players have the tools to win here, but I am going to back experience over power and go with Jaume Munar.
