The Brooklyn Nets have been in fine form as they’ve won six of their last eight games overall, but they will be eager to bounce back in this one after getting routed by the Kings in a 131-118 road loss on Monday. Mikal Bridges led the team with 22 points, five rebounds and five assists, Cam Thomas added 20 points while Spencer Dinwiddie chipped in with 16 points and eight assists. As a team, the Nets shot 47 percent from the field and 14 of 29 from the 3-point line, but they struggled to get going and scored just 18 points in the first quarter to fall behind early and things only got worse in the third quarter where they allowed the Kings to explode for 44 points. The Nets are 8th in the Eastern Conference with a 12-10 record, a win less than the Miami Heat.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their last six games overall, but they will be hoping to build some momentum after outlasting the Warriors in a 119-116 win last night. Devin Booker led the team with 32 points and seven assists on 12 of 23 shooting, Jusuf Nurkic added 17 points with 13 rebounds and seven assists while Bradley Beal and Jordan Goodwin scored 16 points each. As a team, the Suns shot 45 percent from the field and 14 of 39 from the 3-point line as they worked their way back from a 13-point deficit in the first half, before they went on a decisive 12-0 run in the fourth quarter to build a 13-point lead which was enough to hold off a late charge from the Warriors. The Suns are 8th in the Western Conference with a 13-10 record, two wins more than the Houston Rockets.

The Nets are still shorthanded with Dennis Smith Jr and Lonnie Walker both out, while the Suns have ruled out Grayson Allen and they are keeping an eye on Kevin Durant who is considered day to day. The Nets come into this one as the team in better form as they were on a nice run before they got stopped by the Kings on Monday, while the Suns are looking to build on last night’s win over the Warriors. Durant could be out for this one again and I wouldn’t be surprised if Beal was rested for this one after playing last night, so I’m going to go with the Nets to pull off the upset in this spot.
