Los Angeles Sparks vs. Chicago Sky 6/5/21 WNBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Los Angeles Sparks and Chicago Sky  face off on Saturday in a WNBA showdown at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Candace Parker will be turning to Los Angeles but it’s unclear if she is going to be able to go in this game. 

The Chicago Sky come into this game with a 2-6 record overall, but they have lost six games in a row. In the last game against Phoenix Mercury, they were able to force overtime, but were defeated in overtime. The big question for the Sky is if Parker is going to be able to go as she still deals with that ankle injury. On the season the Chicago Sky are averaging 77.5 points per game while their defense is giving up 79.4 points per game. The Sky are only shooting 38.8 percent from the field Kahleah Cooper is the best player for the Sparks as she is averaging 14.5 points while shooting 40.8 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from behind the three point line. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Los Angeles Sparks who have been inconsistent this year sitting with a 3-3 record overall. Even though the Sparks have been inconsistent this year,they are coming off a big win against the Indiana Fever. The Sparks offense scored 98 points and that led to the easy 35 point victory. On the season the Sparks are averaging 77.5 points per game while their defense is giving up 78.8 points per game. Nneka Ogwumike has been the best player for the Sparks averaging 16.4 points per game. There are four different players who are averaging at least 10 points per game, and they need the offense to be good in this game. 

The Sparks offense is too good and the SKy aren’t going to be able to keep up. Look for the Sky’s offense to be an issue and that will be the difference in this game. Back the Sparks to cover the spread in this game.
