New York Liberty at Dallas Wings

The Dallas Wings and New York Liberty face off on Saturday in a WNBA basketball showdown at the College Park Center. The last time these two teams faced off, the Liberty came away with the 99-96 victory.

The New York Liberty come into this game with an 11-18 record overall and they sit in 3rd place in the Eastern Conference. The New York Liberty are really struggling having lost six games in a row. Both sides of the ball have been a problem, but in the last game it was the defense that really let them down, giving up 85 points. The Liberty are averaging 78.4 points per game while their defense is giving up 85.6 points per game. Betnijah Laney has been the best player for the Liberty are averaging 17.2 points while shooting 45.6 percent from the field and 31 percent from behind the three point line.

On the other side of this matchup is the Dallas Wings who sit with a 12-17 record overall which puts them in 5th place in the Western Conference. The Dallas Wings are struggling a bit having lost two games in a row. In the last game against the Connecticut Sun, the defense was awful, but the biggest issue was the offense as they only put up 56 points. The Wings on the season are averaging 81.3 points per game while their defense is giving up 81.7 points per game. Arike Ogunbowale is the best player for Dalas and she is averaging 18.7 points while shooting 38.1 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from behind the three point line.

The Wings offense was a big issue in the last game, and I expect they are going to struggle to score again in this game. I also expect the Liberty to be okay with playing a slower pace, and the under will cash.
