The Chicago Sky and Connecticut Sun meet Saturday in WNBA action at the IMG Academy.

The Chicago Sky look for a victory here to build on their 4-2 start to the WNBA season. The Chicago Sky are averaging 86.8 points on 48.1 percent shooting and allowing 84.7 points on 44.9 percent shooting. Kahleah Copper is averaging 14.7 points and 4.3 rebounds while Courtney Vandersloot is averaging 13 points and 8.5 assists. Cheyenne Parker is the third double-digit scorer and Azura Stevens is dishing 1.5 assists. The Chicago Sky are shooting 38.6 percent from beyond the arc and 76.3 percent from the free throw line. The Chicago Sky are allowing 36.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 35.5 rebounds per game.

The Connecticut Sun look for another victory to round from a 1-5 start to the season. The Connecticut Sun are averaging 78 points on 41.4 percent shooting and allowing 80.8 points on 43.8 percent shooting. DeWanna Bonner is averaging 20.5 points and 3.5 assists while Alyssa Thomas is averaging 15.2 points and 11.2 rebounds. Brionna Jones is the third double-digit scorer and Jasmine Thomas is dishing 4.3 assists. The Connecticut Sun are shooting 28.6 percent from beyond the arc and 70.9 percent from the free throw line. The Connecticut Sun are allowing 32.3 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 35.2 rebounds per game.

The Sky are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games as a favorite, 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games playing on 1 days rest and 11-1 ATS in their last 12 Saturday games. The Sun are 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 vs. Eastern Conference, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Saturday games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The over is 35-17-3 in Sky last 55 overall. The under is 5-2 in Sun last 7 overall. The Sky are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Connecticut and 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

I mentioned before the season started that the Chicago Sky were title contenders, and they’re off to a strong 4-2 record with one of the top offenses in the league. The Connecticut Sun just can’t get out of their own way and they’re having a hard time finding consistent offense. This line isn’t showing much respect to the Sky and what they’ve done up to this point. I’ll gladly lay the bucket here.
