The Seattle Storm and Connecticut Sun meet Sunday in WNBA action at the IMG Academy.

The Seattle Storm look to stay hot while building on their seven-game winning streak. The Seattle Storm are averaging 85.5 points on 46.7 percent shooting and allowing 73.4 points on 38.9 percent shooting. Breanna Stewart is averaging 18.9 points and 7.8 rebounds while Jewell Loyd is averaging 13.9 points and 2.6 rebounds. Alysha Clark is the third double-digit scorer and Sue Bird is dishing 4.4 assists. The Seattle Storm are shooting 40.5 percent from beyond the arc and 79.2 percent from the free throw line. The Seattle Storm are allowing 31.2 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 35.1 rebounds per game.

The Connecticut Sun look for a statement win after winning four of their last five games. The Connecticut Sun are averaging 80.1 points on 42.6 percent shooting and allowing 80.7 points on 45.1 percent shooting. DeWanna Bonner is averaging 18.7 points and 3.3 assists while Alyssa Thomas is averaging 15.5 points and 9.7 rebounds. Jasmine Thomas is the third double-digit scorer and Brionna Jones is grabbing five rebounds. The Connecticut Sun are shooting 31.9 percent from beyond the arc and 70 percent from the free throw line. The Connecticut Sun are allowing 33.7 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 33.2 rebounds per game.

Will update with trends once they’re released.

The Seattle Storm already beat the Connecticut Sun by 13 points in the bubble, a game in which they covered the 10 point spread, shot 48 percent from the field and 52 percent from deep. The Storm are the hottest team in the league by far and are covering while they’re piling up these outright victories. The Connecticut Sun just can’t find any consistency and a lot of that comes down to an offense that’s ranked ninth in points per game and field goal percentage, while the three point percentage is good for 10th in the league. Right now it’s Bonner and everybody else.

I’m not trying to step in front of the Storm right now. I’ll lay whatever the chalk ends up being in this Sunday afternoon game.
