Dallas Wings vs. Indiana Fever
July 24, 2022 3:00 pm EDT

The Indiana Fever and Dallas Wings face off on Sunday in a WNBA showdown at Hinkle Fieldhouse. When these two teams faced off on June 23rd, the Wings put up 94 points on the way to the victory.

The Dallas Wings come into this game with an 11-15 record overall, and they are coming off a loss in their last game against the Chicago Sky. The offense scored 83 points in that game, but they gave up 89 points, and that led to the defeat. The Sky are averaging 81.6  points, while their defense is giving up 82.6 points per game. The Wings’ offense is ranked 6th best in the league, while their defense is also ranked 6th.  Arike Ogunbowale has been the top player for Dallas, averaging 19.8 points while shooting 40.3 percent from the field.

On the other side of this matchup is the Indiana Fever, who sit with a 5-24 record, and they seem to be a ways away from turning around their franchise. In the last game against the Las Vegas Aces, the defense gave up 90 points and that led to the defeat. Indiana is averaging 77.8 points, while their defense is giving up 88.3 points per game. The offense is ranked 12th in the league, while the defense is also ranked 12th in the league. The only real difference maker on this team is Kelsey Mitchell, who is averaging 18 points per game. This is a very young team and there has been a ton of growing pains.

The last time these two teams faced off, Dallas put up 94 points on the way to the blowout victory. The Fever are giving up 88.3 points per game, and they will give up at least that in this game. Look for the Wings to run up the score here, and Indiana won’t be keeping up. This game is going to be a blowout with Dallas covering the spread.
