The Las Vegas Aces and Los Angeles Sparks face off on Saturday in a WNBA showdown at the Michelob Ultra Arena. When these two teams faced off on June 27th it was the Aces that secured the 79-73 victory.

The Las Vegas Aces come into this game with a 19-8 record overall, and in the last game they were able to beat the Indiana Fever 90-77. They were outscored 25-14 in the 4th quarter, but they had built such a cushion they still won with comfort. The Aces are averaging 90.7 points, while their defense is giving up 85.4 points per game. The offense is ranked 1st in the league, while the defense is ranked 9th. Kelsey Plum has been the top offensive player for the Aces, averaging 19.7 points while shooting 44 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from behind the three-point line.

On the other side of this matchup is the Los Angeles Sparks who sit with a 12-14 record overall, but they are coming off a big win in their last game. The offense scored 85 points against the Atlanta Dream and that was enough to win by seven points. The Sparks are averaging 81.2 points, while their defense is giving up 85.5 points per game. The offense is ranked 7th in the league, while their defense is ranked 10th in the league. The Sparks are 4th in the league in terms of pace. Nneka Ogwumike has been the top player for the Sparks, averaging 19 points while shooting 56.8 percent from the field.

The Sparks looked good in the last game, but this is a much better team with the Aces. Las Vegas is averaging 90.7 points per game, and they are going to have no issue running up the score in this game against a Los Angeles defense that hasn’t been great this season. The Sparks aren’t going to score enough, and Las Vegas will cover the spread.
