Seattle Storm vs. Las Vegas Aces
June 29, 2022 10:00 pm EDT

The Las Vegas Aces and Seattle Storm face off on Wednesday in a WNBA showdown at Climate Pledge Arena. When these two teams faced off on May 8th it was the Aces that secured the 85-74 victory.

The Storm comes into this game with an 11-7 record overall, but they are coming off a disappointing loss in their last game. The defense gave up 85 points, and that led to the eight-point defeat. Two games ago, against the Washington Mystics, the Storm were able to secure the 85-71 victory. Seattle is averaging 78.7 points, while their defense is giving up 76.9 points per game. The Storm’s offense is ranked 10th overall, while their defense is ranked second overall. Breanna Stewart has been the top player for the team, averaging 22 points while shooting 46 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from behind the three-point line.

On the other side of this matchup is the Aces, who sit with a 14-4 record overall, but they have lost two of their last three games. Las Vegas has a good offense, but they haven’t played enough defense at times, and it’s catching up with them. Las Vegas is averaging 91.2 points, while their defense is giving up 83.2 points per game. The offense is ranked 1st in the league, while their defense is ranked 8th. Kelsey Plum has been the top offensive player, averaging 20.2 points while shooting 43.4 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from the field.

The Aces want to push the pace, but I don’t trust their defense, and there is going to be plenty of scoring in this game. Look for both teams to run up the score, and it wouldn’t shock me if there were 100 points scored by both teams. Back the over to cash.
