July 1, 2022 8:00 pm EDT

The Minnesota Lynx and Las Vegas Aces face off on Friday in a WNBA showdown at the Target Center. When these two teams faced off on June 19th it was the Aces that secured the 96-95 victory,

The Aces come into this game with a 14-5 record overall, but they are coming off a loss in their last game. The defense really struggled, giving up 88 points to the Seattle Storm, and that led to the 10-point defeat. The Aces’ offense is averaging 89.8 points, while their defense is giving up 82.9 points per game. The Aces’ offense is ranked 1st in the league, while their pitching staff is ranked 8th overall. Kelsey Plum has been the top player for the Aces, averaging 20.5 points while shooting 43.7 percent from the field and 42.8 percent from behind the three-point line.

On the other side of this matchup is the Lynx, who sit with a 6-14 record overall, but they have been a lot more competitive as of late. In the last game against the Dallas Wings, the Lynx’s offense scored 92 points and that was enough to win by 28 points. Even the last time they played against the Aces, they were quite competitive, and they could have won that game. The Lynx are averaging 80.8 points, while their defense is giving up 83.5 points per game. The offense is ranked 7th in the league, while the defense is ranked 9th. Sylvia Fowles has been the top player for the Lynx, averaging 15.6 points while shooting 65.4 percent from the field.

The Lynx seem to have finally turned their season around, and they are going to continue to find success in this game. The Aces defense gave up 88 points to Seattle in the last game, and the Lynx are going to have no issue running up the score here. The Lynx will get close to that 88-point mark and Minnesota will secure the victory here. Back the Lynx against the spread.
