The Michigan State Spartans and Ohio State Buckeyes do battle Saturday in a week 6 Big Ten college football game from Spartan Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Ohio State Buckeyes will look to remain unbeaten, currently sitting at 5-0 on the year after a 49-10 rout of Rutgers in their last game. C.J. Stroud has thrown for 1,376 yards, 18 touchdowns and 2 interceptions on 68.7% passing while Miyan Williams has a team-high 497 rushing yards and 8 TDs and TreVeyon Henderson also has 318 rushing yards and 3 scores as well this season. Emeka Egbuka leads Ohio State with 30 grabs for 512 receiving yards and 5 TD grabs while Marvin Harrison Jr. has 405 receiving yards on 24 receptions with 6 touchdown catches this season. On defense, Tommy Eichenberg has a team-high 42 total tackles with 23 solo tackles while Ohio State’s defense as a whole has 10 sacks and 3 interceptions this season.

The Michigan State Spartans will try to snap a three-game losing skid after their 27-13 loss to Maryland in their last game, falling to 2-3 on the year as a result. Payton Thorne has thrown for 1,121 yards, 8 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on 64.2% passing while Jalen Berger has a team-high 301 rushing yards with 4 touchdowns. Keon Coleman leads MSU’s receiving group with 25 grabs for 308 yards and 3 TDs while four other Spartans have 100+ receiving yards this season, including Tre Mosley who has 181 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. On defense, Kendell Brooks has a team-high 47 total tackles while Jacoby Windmon has a team-high 5.5 sacks as part of MSU’s 13 sacks as a team this season.

Ohio State is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record and 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 conference games while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 road games against a team with a losing home record. Michigan State is 11-5-2 ATS in their last 18 games overall and 7-1-2 ATS in their last 10 home games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 home games.

I understand the allure of getting three touchdowns and a bit free with a decent Michigan State team, but the wheels are off of the cart for the Spartans right now as they’ve fallen and are having a hard time getting back up. Ohio State’s shown no mercy since the Notre Dame game and It doesn’t get much better for MSU, who have lost the last two meetings with the Buckeyes by a combined score of 108-19 and have lost by 40+ in 3 of the last 5 meetings. I think this Ohio State team is out to make an example of every team that’s put in front fo them and are out to leave no doubt to the selection committee should they run the table. Give me Ohio State in another rout.
