The Toronto Raptors and Charlotte Hornets meet Monday in NBA preseason action at the Spectrum Center.

The Toronto Raptors look for another win after beating the Hornets on Saturday. The Toronto Raptors are averaging 111 points on 41.1 percent shooting and allowing 100 points on 39.5 percent shooting. Matt Thomas is averaging 16 points and one rebound while Terence Davis is averaging 13 points and two rebounds. OG Anunoby is the third double-digit scorer and Chris Boucher is grabbing four rebounds. The Toronto Raptors are shooting 36.5 percent from beyond the arc and 64.3 percent from the free thitem line. The Toronto Raptors are allowing 34.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 46 rebounds per game.

The Charlotte Hornets look for a preseason win after losing their opener to the Raptors. The Charlotte Hornets are averaging 100 points on 39.5 percent shooting and allowing 111 points on 41.1 percent shooting. Miles Bridges is averaging 12 points and three assists while Bismack Biyombo is averaging 11 points and two rebounds. Gordon Hayward is the third double-digit scorer and Jalen McDaniels is grabbing five rebounds. The Charlotte Hornets are shooting 34.5 percent from beyond the arc and 63.4 percent from the free thitem line. The Charlotte Hornets are allowing 36.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 54 rebounds per game.

The Raptors are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 road games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Hornets are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games and 7-0-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Raptors are 5-11 ATS in the last 16 meetings in Charlotte and 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

The Charlotte Hornets didn’t shoot the ball well in their preseason opener and still had chances to win, as they hung around for much of the contest. The Toronto Raptors are obviously clearly the better team, but they’re also not playing their best players much. The Hornets are the younger team with more to prove, and I expect a better effort this time out. I’ll lean toward the points here.
