Taylor Fritz will meet Aslan Karatsev in the Round of 16 at the 2023 Stuttgart Open. The match will be played on Thursday June 15th, 2023 at 6:30am EST. 

Second seeded American Taylor Fritz is the eighth ranked player in the world. He had a fantastic start to the year, winning a title in Dallas and consistently reaching the later rounds in tournaments. He would have been disappointed with his Third Round performance at the French Open, going down to Francisco Cerundolo. Fritz has never had much success on grass which is a surprise given his massive serve and groundstrokes, and he has a tough start here against the dangerous Aslan Karatsev. 

Aslan Karatsev is unseeded here at the Stuttgart Open, and after a long slump where he suffered with form and fitness, he seems to have finally regained his form. With a solid 20-10 record on the season, the world number 48 famously reached the Semis at the Madrid Open after coming through the Qualifying Rounds. Like Taylor Fritz, he lost early at the French Open and will be eager to make amends here in Stuttgart. Karatsev may be feeling some fatigue however, after a gruelling three set win over Corentin Moutet in the First Round. 

This should be a cracker of a match between two highly skilled players, but in the end it will come down to one thing. Grass is a funny surface, and it usually rewards the big servers, of which Taylor Fritz is one of the biggest. The American has matured a lot as a player, and even though Aslan Karatsev will push him hard, he will come through here and reach the Quarter-Finals at the Stuttgart Open. The odds aren’t great so i’m confident in a straight sets win to boost your profit margin.
