Maxime Cressy will meet Laslo Djere at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. The match will be played on Tuesday July 4th, 2023. 

Maxime Cressy of the USA is unseeded here at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships and is ranked #55 on the ATP Tour. The huge server has tasted success on grass before, winning the Hall of Fame Championships and reaching the Final of Eastbourne last season. However, his form this year has been miserable, winning only one match across his three warm up events. His huge serve and volley game make him a formidable opponent on this surface, and a clay courter like Laslo Djere will find it difficult to cope with. Cressy is the favorite here, but make note of his unpredictability this year. 

Laslo Djere is ranked 56th in the world and like his opponent Maxime Cressy is unseeded here at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. He fared slightly better than Cressy across the warm up events, winning two matches and looking surprisingly good on the grass. However, he has been nortoriously inconsistent throughout his career and this is by far his worst surface, so don’t expect much from the Serb. 

This is a match between two highly inconsistent players, and it is one that I expect Maxime Cressy to win. It will likely be a sloppy match given their 2023 form, but his game is far better suited to grass than Laslo Djere, and I think that his serve will carry him to victory here at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships.
