Frances Tiafoe will meet Grigor Dimitrov in the Third Round of the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. The match will be played on Saturday July 8th, 2023. 

Frances Tiafoe is the 10th seed here at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships and is the 10th ranked player in the world. It is expected that he will pass Taylor Fritz to become the top ranked American after this tournament, but he will surely have his sights set on a deep run here at the All-England Club instead. He crushed his opponent Dominic Stricker in the Second Round to improve his 2023 record to 30-10, and after winning a title on grass in Stuttgart is looking like he will be tough to beat here. 

Grigor Dimitrov is ranked 24th in the world and is the 21st seed here at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. The experienced Bulgarian has never had too much success on grass, but his experience and all-court game make him a worth opponent. He defeated Ilya Ivashka 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in a solid showing, serving very well and keeping his error count very low. While his opponent Frances Tiafoe is the obvious favorite, this will by no means be one sided and Dimitrov is certainly in with a shout. 

This should be an entertaining match, and despite the difference in rankings can really go either way. All things considered though, we are going with the American who has been outstanding so far this grass season. His confidence is at an all-time high after the title win and breaking into the top 10, and his firepower will set him apart here.
