Clippers vs Pistons Player Prop Bets – Paul George Over 20.5 Points (-110)
Paul George was a late scratch on Wednesday’s against the Wizards due to left groin soreness, but he’ll be able to return to action in Detroit. George is not in good form recently, he scored more than 20 points just once in the previous five games. However, before that stretch, he scored 21+ in 14 of 15 outings.
Prior to Wednesday’s absence, George was inactive twice this season, and each time he returned to the floor, he scored 21+ points. The Pistons allow 22.3 ppg to the opposing small forwards this year, while Bojan Bogdanovic, who is George’s direct matchup, is not a good defender.
Additionally, the Clippers face the fourth-worst defense in the NBA which allows 122.3 ppg. I believe George will have a solid shooting night in Motown. The last time he met the Pistons, George dropped 32 points.
Jalen Duren Over 24.5 Points and Rebounds (-110)
The Detroit Pistons are the worst team in the NBA this season, but Jalen Duren is having an excellent sophomore year in the league. He’s averaging a double-double per game (14.0 ppg and 11.8 rpg), including 3.3 orpg.
With Isaiah Stewart and Mike Muscala both sidelined, Duren is the only big guy on the active roster for Detroit. In six of the previous seven games, Jalen logged 30+ minutes, and I am hoping he will stay on the floor long enough to help us win this bet.
Duren combined for 25+ PTS and REB in four of the last eight games. The Clippers allow 20.8 ppg and 14.1 rpg to the opposing centers this year. Duren is not expected to take more than 12 shots in this one, but he will likely grab a bunch of boards.
