The Texas Rangers and the Chicago White Sox meet Wednesday in MLB action from Guaranteed Rate Field. Here’s a Chicago White Sox vs Texas Rangers prediction. This will be the second installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best White Sox vs Rangers pick.
Texas Rangers Betting Preview
In their weekend series the Rangers played the Cleveland Guardians. Texas took a 5-3 win on Friday but dropped the next pair. On Tuesday versus the White Sox, Texas’ opener was suspended in the first inning due to weather. That game will be completed prior to this matchup.
In the starter role for the late game Wednesday the Rangers will send out Jack Leiter. In three starts so far Leiter is 0-1 with a 16.39 ERA in his rookie campaign.
Chicago White Sox Betting Preview
Over on the White Sox’ side, their weekend was spent playing the Detroit Tigers. Chicago took a four-game sweep in that one with losses 5-2, 13-4, 9-4 and 6-3.
For the Wednesday start, the Sox didn’t immediately announce a name. This was going to be Chris Flexen’s turn in the rotation, but he’ll start the suspended early game.

Chicago White Sox vs Texas Rangers Prediction
I was going to say that this might be another spot to take a value stab on the Sox, but I’m not going near it. The circumstances are a lot different now following the suspended game Tuesday. That said, Chicago will likely get a few early opportunities off of Leiter. He’s given up 17 earned runs in 9.1 total frames but hasn’t pitched at the MLB level for a while. The Sox pitching staff, however, is another story. This one’s probably not worth messing with.
