Seattle Mariners Recap

The Seattle Mariners come into this one looking to build on their series-opening 9-5 win over the Angels in Friday’s series opener. The win gave Seattle an early chance at a third straight series win after taking down the Rays and Giants over the last week.

Mariners Trying To Make Up Ground In AL West

Entering Friday, Julio Rodriguez leads the Mariners with 112 hits including a .253 batting average, and also has 12 doubles. Cal Raleigh has a team-high 27 home runs along with 80 RBIs and 149 strikeouts. Why the Seattle Mariners will win

  • The Angels have lost 12 of their last 13 night games after playing the previous day.

  • The Angels have failed to cover the run line in each of their last six home games after playing the previous day.
  • The road team has covered the run line in each of the last four games between the Mariners and Angels.

Los Angeles Angels Recap

The Los Angeles Angels will try to rebound from their loss to Seattle in Friday’s opener. The loss was just another brick in the wall for the Angels, who have still lost series against the Tigers, Blue Jays, and Royals over the last week and a half.

Angels Trying To Salvage Something Amidst Lost Season

Going into Friday’s action, Taylor Ward has 114 hits along with 23 doubles, 17 home runs, and 59 RBIs while Zach Neto has 28 doubles, 114 strikeouts, and 23 stolen bases. • The Mariners have failed to cover the run line in eight of their last nine road games after playing the previous day.
  • The Angels have covered the run line in seven of their last eight games as underdogs against AL West opponents following a home loss.

LA Angels vs Seattle Mariners Prediction

I’m going back to the under here. We saw 14 runs on Friday, but the way these two teams have played over the second half of the season, I think that was more of an anomaly more than anything else. Woo has been outstanding for the Mariners for much of the year, while Anderson has been regressing but the Mariners haven’t been very good against lefties for some time now. I think this one’s going to see a big time struggle offensively. Give me the under here.
