The New York Jets and the San Francisco 49ers meet Monday in NFL action from Levi’s Stadium. Here’s a San Francisco 49ers vs NY Jets Prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best 49ers vs Jets pick.
New York Jets Betting Preview
We all saw what happened to the Jets last year. Newly acquired veteran QB Aaron Rodgers went down with an injury in the first quarter of the first game and the team never recovered. New York did manage to go 7-10 overall, however, mostly on the strength of a great defense.
Preseason doesn’t necessarily translate to success or failure in the regular season, but for what it’s worth the Jets won all three of their exhibition games. Those came 20-17 over the Washington Commanders, 15-12 over the Panthers, and 10-6 versus the New York Giants.
San Francisco 49ers Betting Preview
Over on the 49ers’ side, they had a great campaign last season but it ended in disappointment. San Francisco went 12-5 overall then won the Divisional Playoffs over the Green Bay Packers and the NFC Championship versus the Detroit Lions. In the Super Bowl versus the Kansas City Chiefs, however, the Niners would fall 25-22 in overtime.
The 49ers ended up going 1-1-1 in preseason action, getting a taste of each possible outcome. San Francisco lost 17-13 to the Tennessee Titans in the opener, then beat the New Orleans Saints 16-10. In the final game, the Niners would settle for a tie 24-24 with the Raiders.

San Francisco 49ers vs NY Jets Prediction
I’m staying with the 49ers. This should be a pretty fun matchup, though. San Francisco’s potent offense versus the Jets’ talented defense will be interesting. New York ranked 13th in the NFL last season with 22.4 points per game on the road. Depending on how the Jets offense performs, that may or may not be enough.
Speaking of the Jets offense, this will be our first real look at how things will function with Aaron Rodgers under center. There are plenty of variables involved in the Jets offense versus the 49ers defense, so it’s tough to know how to feel. That said, I think this will be a lower-scoring game as each team gets its proverbial feet wet. It’ll be a fun one to watch.
