The Louisville Cardinals and the Boston College Eagles meet Friday in college football action from BC Alumni Stadium. Here’s a Boston College vs Louisville prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Boston College vs Louisville pick.

Louisville Cardinals Betting Preview

The Cardinals’ season kicked off with a trio of wins as the team dispatched Austin Peay 62-0, Jacksonville State 49-14 and Georgia Tech 31-19. Louisville would drop the next pair to Notre Dame 31-24 and SMU 34-27 before getting a 24-20 win over Virginia.

Back on Saturday versus Miami, the Cardinals gave up double-digit points in every quarter on the way to a wild loss 52-45. QB Tyler Though threw for 342 yards and four scores. Ja’Corey Brooks caught two of those TDs among his six grabs for 107 yards.

Boston College Eagles Betting Preview

Over on the Eagles’ side, they beat Florida State 28-13 and Duquesne 56-0 before a 27-21 loss to Missouri. Two more wins over Michigan State 23-19 and Western Kentucky 21-20 came before a 24-14 loss to Virginia in game six.

Last Thursday versus Virginia Tech, the Eagles were drilled 28-0 in the first half but mounted a strong comeback in the third quarter. Ultimately Boston College fell 42-21, though. QB Thomas Castellanos threw for 205 yards and two scores. Jeremiah Franklin caught three balls for 49 yards and a TD.

Boston College vs Louisville Prediction

I might take a stab on Boston College. The Eagles didn’t play horribly on offense in their latest loss to Virginia Tech, notching 372 yards and 22 first downs. Boston College lost three fumbles however, and gave up 368 rush yards alongside 9.2 yards per play on defense. The third quarter (21 unanswered points) was the only real bright spot overall.

As for Louisville, they came out on the losing end of a pretty epic shootout versus Miami over the weekend. The Cardinals gave up 538 yards (319 passing) and 7.5 yards per play in that one. The real Achilles heel for the offense was the rough 3-of-12 on third-down tries, though. I like Louisville to put some points up here as well, but I think the Eagles can keep pace well enough to cover.
