Now that we have ascertained how Lamar Jackson played last season, let’s shift our focus to 2024. In the six games that Lamar Jackson has played for the Baltimore Ravens in the 2024 NFL regular season, Baltimore Ravens starting quarterback Lamar Jackson has compiled 1,529 passing yards, ten passing touchdowns, 403 rushing yards, and added two rushing touchdowns.

More recently, in the Baltimore Ravens 41-38 win over the Cincinnati Bengals two weeks ago, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson tallied a robust 348 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, and 55 rushing yards.

Looking at the data just presented more closely, in the Ravens victory over the Bengals just mentioned, Lamar Jackson accumulated a massive 37.4 Draftkings points.

Additionally, I like Lamar Jackson from a general matchup perspective. Why? The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had issues containing opposing quarterbacks this season. Through six games played in the 2024 NFL regular season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are ranked a dreadful 31st in total Draftkings points allowed a game (21.9) to opposing quarterbacks. Keep in mind that the NFL has 32 teams in the entire league. Having stated that, being ranked 31st in any defensive category is clearly not good.

For the specific reasons just noted, I am backing Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jakson at the captain position for this one game Draftkings NFL Showdown slate.

Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Tampa Bay Buccaneers $9,600

Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield has certainly been a key contributor to the Buccaneers offense this season. Let’s review Mayfield’s recent game data to better shed light on my previous statement.

Two weeks ago, in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 33-16 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield accumulated a massive 347 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and added ten rushing yards.

I fully expect Baker Mayfield to continue his outstanding play versus a vulnerable Baltimore Ravens secondary on Monday night.
