In this article, we will formulate a Washington vs UCLA Prediction for this College Football Week 12 game on Friday, November 15th, at Husky Stadium.  Let’s take a look at a Washington Huskies vs UCLA Bruins pick.

UCLA Figuring It Out?

Before the season there was talk about UCLA being one of the worst power five football teams, but they are figuring it out and they have won three games in a row. In the last game against Iowa, it wasn’t the prettiest game, but they were able to secure the 20-17 victory. Ethan Garbers had a strong game, completing 21 of his 34 passes for 304 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. T.J. Harden had a strong game on the ground, finishing with 20 carries for 145 yards.

UCLA on the season is averaging 18.8 points while their defense is giving up 26.88 points per game. The offense is ranked 126th while the defense is ranked 82nd. They are averaging only 3.33 points per game in the first quarter and that is going to need to be improved. UCLA will take on USC following this one.

Why UCLA Will Beat Washington

  • UCLA has won each of its last three games as an underdog.
  • Washington has lost three of its last four games against conference opponents.
  • UCLA has covered the spread in each of its last four road games.
  • Washington has failed to cover the spread in six of its last eight games as a favorite against non-AP-ranked teams.

Washington Looks to Bounce Back

Washington sits with a 5-5 record overall but they were blown out in the last game. Washington faced off against Penn State in the last game and the offense only scored six points while the defense gave up 35 points. Quarterback Demond Williams was the top passer and rusher, but neither was all that impressive. Williams Jr threw for 60 yards and ran for 38 yards. Washington overall this season is averaging 21.8 points while their defense is giving up 20.6 points per game. The offense is ranked 109th while the defense is ranked 27th.

Washington vs UCLA Prediction

UCLA has a ton of confidence here, and even on the road in a tough environment, he’s going to find success. The Huskies offense is going to really struggle here, and that is going to be the difference here. UCLA might not run up the score, but Ethan Garbers is going to have a solid enough offensive game and that will be enough to keep it close. Back UCLA to cover the spread here.
