The Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Golden Gophers clash in a Big Ten week 11 college football contest from Kinnick Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers come into this game on the heels of a 14-6 loss at the hands of Illinois in their last game. Tanner Morgan has thrown for 1,357 yards, 6 touchdowns and 7 picks on 60% passing while Trey Potts leads the Gophers with 552 rushing yards. Ky Thomas and Mar’Keise Irving each have 350+ rushing yards as well for the Golden Gophers this season. Mike Brown-Stephens and Chris Autman-Bell each have 300+ receiving yards while Dylan Wright has 246 receiving yards and two more Golden Gophers have at least 100 receiving yards this season. On defense, Mariano Sori-Marin has a team-high 65 total tackles while Boye Mafe has a team-high 6 sacks and Thomas Rush is right behind with 5.5 sacks.

The Iowa Hawkeyes will be looking to add to their 17-12 win over Northwestern in their last matchup. Spencer Petras has thrown for 1,430 yards, 9 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on 58.3% passing while Tyler Goodson leads Iowa with 754 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns. Sam LaPorta leads Iowa’s receiving group with 34 grabs for 391 yards while three more Hawkeyes have at least 200 receiving yards and three additional Iowa players have at least 100 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Jack Campbell leads Iowa with 80 total tackles while Lukas Van Ness has 5 sacks and Joe Evans has 4 sacks. Riley Moss and Dane Belton each have 4 interceptions and Matt Hankins has 3 INTs for the Hawkeyes as well this season.

Minnesota is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 20-8-5 ATS in their last 33 road games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games as a road underdog. Iowa is 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following a win while the under is 12-3-1 in their last 16 home games.

I get how you could make a case either way here as Iowa has looked like they’re running out of gas but Minnesota stunk up the joint last week in their own right. Instead, even though it’s a low total, I’m still leaning towards the under here. I mean realistically, it can’t go much lower, but this just reeks of a 17-10 or 20-14 kind of game where nothing comes easy on either side and neither side gives an inch.
