Wisconsin-Milwaukee vs IUPUI College Basketball Picks, Odds, Predictions 2/25/21

The IUPUI Jaguars and the Milwaukee Panthers meet Thursday in college basketball action from UWM Panther Arena. 

IUPUI enters this Horizon League Tournament matchup at 8-9 so far. The Jaguars are 3-1 in their last four and coming off a loss to Youngstown State. As for Milwaukee, they’re 8-11 this year. IUPUI has been flirting with a .500 record for most of the season, and they haven’t been able to sustain much success. That said, the Jaguars are 3-1 in their last four, beating UIC in a pair of games and splitting another pair with Youngstown State. 

In the 77-70 loss to Youngstown State on Saturday, IUPUI’s Marcus Burk posted 24 points with three rebounds and two assists. Elyjah Goss added a double-double in that one with his 21 points, 15 rebounds and one assist in 37 minutes on the floor. 

Over on the Milwaukee side, they had a 5-2 record in early January, but since have won just three of their last 12 games. The Panthers broke a five-game losing skid with a victory over Oakland in double overtime back on Saturday. 

In the 89-87 win over Oakland, Milwaukee’s Josh Thomas put up 22 points with five rebounds and one assist. Te’Jon Lucas doubled up on 21 points with 13 assists and five boards, as did Amir Allen with 12 rebounds and 12 points in 40 minutes of work. 

The Panthers are 39-15-3 ATS in their last 57 Thursday games and 1-5 ATS in their last six home games. Milwaukee is 1-4 ATS in their last five after an ATS win and the over is 7-0 in their last seven overall. 

Meanwhile, the Jaguars are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six road games and 14-39 ATS in their last 53 Thursday games. IUPUI is 3-0-1 ATS in their last four overall and the over is 5-2 in their last seven overall. 

PICK: I’m going to take IUPUI. The Jaguars lost three of the four matchups they’ve had against Milwaukee this season, and each was a relatively high-scoring game. IUPUI has kept up their scoring recently, notching 70 or more in each of their last nine. This should be another good matchup, and I think the Jaguars can tough out a cover.
