The Weber State Wildcats and the Southern Utah Thunderbirds meet in college basketball action from the America First Events Center on Saturday afternoon.

The Weber State Wildcats will look to build off of a 91-67 win over Southern Utah last time out. Isiah Bitemn leads the Wildcats in scoring with 18.2 PPG along with 4.7 RPG and a team-high 3.7 APG while Cody Carlson has 13.3 PPG with a team-high 5.3 RPG and Zahir Porter has 12.5 PPG with 2.6 APG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Weber State coming into this game. Seikou Sisoho Jawara has 8.9 PPG with 3.6 APG as well this season. As a team, Weber State is averaging 85.6 PPG on 50.4% shooting from the field, 41.7% from 3-point range and 77% from the foul line while allowing 68.2 PPG on 39.3% shooting from the field and 30.3% from 3-point range this season.

The Southern Utah Thunderbirds will look to bounce back from their loss to Weber State last time out. Tevian Jones leads the Thunderbirds in scoring with 18.5 PPG while Maizen Fausett is 2nd in scoring and tops in rebounding with 6.8 RPG along with his 13.6 PPG and John Knight III has 12.2 PPG with his team-high 4.1 APG this season. Dre Marin has 10.8 PPG to cap off the scoring in double figures for Southern Utah so far this season. As a team, Southern Utah is averaging 82.6 PPG on 45.4% shooting from the field, 33% from 3-point range and 70.6% from the foul line while giving up 72.8 PPG on 44.9% shooting from the field and 34.9% from 3-point land this season.

Weber State is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall while the over is 11-5 in their last 16 Saturday games. Southern Utah is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 6-13 ATS in their last 19 home games while the over is 7-1 in their last 8 games against a team with a winning record. This should be a great game between a Weber State team that’s 6-1 ATS on the year against a Southern Utah squad that’s unbeaten at home. With that said, Weber State’s ATS record is impressive but a lot of times the Wildcats were getting some points and not in a near pick ‘em like this. Southern Utah’s been outstanding at home going 8-0 straight up this season and in a near pick ‘em, I have to ride with the Thunderbirds at home.
