The Tulsa Golden Hurricane and the Temple Owls meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Liacouras Center.

Tulsa enters this game at 8-5 so far. The Hurricane are 1-2 in their last three games and coming off a loss to Houston. As for Temple, they’re 3-4 this season. The Owls are also coming off a loss to Houston in their last game. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Tulsa stumbled into the season with a 1-3 start before rattling off a nice win streak over Northwestern State, Memphis, Southwestern Christian, Houston, Cincinnati and South Florida. Since then it’s been a win over Memphis in between losses to Wichita State and Houston.

In the 86-59 loss to Houston last week, Tulsa’s Brandon Rachal put up 18 points with three rebounds and three assists. Keshawn Williams was the only other Hurricane player in double-figures with 10 points in 19 minutes on the floor.

Over on the Temple side, they began their season with a win over NJIT before falling in three straight to Houston and SMU (twice). Since then, it’s been two wins over UCF and Tulane prior to a 17-point loss to Houston on Saturday.

In the 68-51 loss to the Cougars, Temple’s Jake Forrester posted 15 points with eight rebounds, and Khalif Battle added 14 points with six rebounds and two assists. Jeremiah Williams chipped in seven points with six assists and four boards as well.

Temple is 2-6 ATS in their last eight Tuesday games and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The under is 8-2 in the Owls’ last 10 overall and 5-1 in their last six home games.

Meanwhile, the Hurricane are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 versus a team with a losing straight-up record. The under is 5-2 in Tulsa’s last seven Tuesday games as well.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Tulsa. The Hurricane have had some ups and downs this season so far, but they’ve also picked up a few nice wins along the way. The bad news is that Tulsa has hit 61 or fewer points in each of their last four games. The good news is that they’ve only lost two of those games. Temple hasn’t hit more than 68 points in any of their last four, so if Tulsa comes in here on point I think the Hurricane can tamp down the Owls and bang out a cover.
