The Nevada Wolf Pack and the Boise State Broncos meet Thursday in college basketball action from Thomas & Mack Center.

Nevada enters this Mountain West Tournament matchup at 15-9 so far. The Wolf Pack are 1-2 in their last three and coming off a win over Colorado State. As for Boise State, they’re 18-7 this year. The Broncos have lost three straight, most recently to Fresno State. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

The Wolf Pack have had a few rough patches this season, but were doing pretty well in early February at 14-7. After a handful of postponements and cancellations, Nevada dropped two to Utah State and then beat Colorado State last Friday.

In the 85-82 win over Colorado State, Nevada’s Desmond Cambridge put up 20 points with six rebounds and one assist. Grant Sherfield added 18 points with six assists and two boards, and Kane Milling chipped in 17 points with three rebounds.

Over on the Boise State side, their year began on a great 13-1 run prior to a 1-3 skid. The Broncos won four straight games over UNLV and Utah State after that, but then took two losses to San Diego State and a loss to Fresno State.

In the 67-64 loss to Fresno State last week, Boise State’s Emmanuel Akot put up 18 points with four rebounds and three assists. Derrick Alston added 12 points with four rebounds, and Marcus Shaver had 11 points with four boards.

The Broncos are 4-1 ATS in their last five neutral-site games and 4-1 ATS in their last five Thursday games. The over is 5-1 in Boise State’s last six Thursday games and the under is 5-2 in their last seven neutral-site games as a favorite.

Meanwhile, the Wolf Pack are 6-1 ATS in their last seven overall and 7-1 ATS in their last eight neutral-site games. The under is 4-1 in Nevada’s last five Thursday games and the over is 4-1 in their last five overall.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Nevada. Boise State has had some rough competition lately, and they’ve scored 66 or fewer in three straight. The last time these teams met up, we got a couple of Nevada wins 74-72 and 73-62. I expect this one to be pretty tight the whole way, and it should be a fairly high-scoring matchup if both teams are on. I like the Wolf Pack a little better on an eventual cover, though.
