Oregon vs Arizona State College Basketball Picks, Odds, Predictions 3/11/21

The Arizona State Sun Devils and the Oregon Ducks meet Thursday in college basketball action from T-Mobile Arena. 

Coming into this Pac-12 Tournament matchup, Arizona State sits at 11-13 so far. The Sun Devils are coming off a Wednesday tournament win over Washington State. As for Oregon, they’re sitting at 19-5 this year. The Ducks have won five straight, most recently over Oregon State. Arizona State has had a shaky year, and they ended up going 7-11 over their first 18 games. The Sun Devils managed a three-game win streak over Washington and Washington State before losing to Colorado and Utah prior to the Washington State tournament win. 

In the Wednesday tournament win over Washington State, Arizona State had a tight 25-24 advantage at the break but got better from there in an eventual 64-59 win. Topping the team was Alonzo Verge with 26 points, six rebounds and two assists. 

Over on the Ducks’ side, they came out of the gate on a nice 8-1 pace, but then hit a 1-3 stretch amid a handful of postponements in January. Since then the Ducks are 10-1 in their last 11 games. They’re coming off a double-digit win over Oregon State on Sunday. 

In the 80-67 win over the Beavers, Oregon’s Will Richardson put up 22 points with three rebounds and three assists. Eugene Omoruyi added 18 points with three rebounds, and Eric Williams put up 14 points with six boards and five assists. 

Oregon is 4-0 ATS in their last four overall and 4-0 ATS in their last four as a favorite. The over is 5-0 in the Ducks’ last five overall as well. 

Meanwhile, the Devils are 0-5 ATS in their last five after a straight-up win and 0-4 ATS in their last four Thursday games. Arizona State is 6-22-1 ATS in their last 29 overall as well. 

PICK: I’m going to stay with Oregon in this one. The Ducks have played great since early February, and they’ve hit 71 or more points in each of their last five outings in this 10-1 run. Arizona State played a solid outing on Wednesday, but they’ll need to hit the gas on the scoreboard if they’re going to keep up here.
