CBI Picks: Bryant vs Coastal Carolina 3/22/21 College Basketball Picks, Odds, Predictions

The Bryant Bulldogs face the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in college basketball action in a CBI tournament quarter-final from the Ocean Center on Monday afternoon.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers come into the CBI after finishing the year with a 16-7 overall record, taking down Troy in the Sun Belt conference tournament before losing to eventual champion Appalachian State. DeVante Jones leads the Chanticleers in scoring witih 20 PPG along with 7.3 RPG, 3.1 APG and 3 steals per game while Deanthony Tipler has 14.5 PPG and Eliel Mostafa has 11.4 PPG and a team-high 8.6 RPG this season to lead Coastal on the glass. Tyrik Dixon has 10.9 PPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers for Coastal up to this point in the year with 3 APG as well, but Ebrima Dibba leads the Chants in assists with 5.3 APG this season. As a team, Coastal Carolina is averaging 80.4 PPG on 46.4% shooting from the field and 37.1% from three while allowing 66.8 PPG on 39% shooting from the field and 31.3% from three this season.

I think a case could be made for either side here with both coming off of a long layoff, but the reality is you have two teams that scored well into the 80s this season and a total that’s dropping into the 150s, something doesn’t make sense here.
