The BYU Cougars and the Oregon Ducks meet in college basketball action from Matthew Knight Arena on Tuesday night.

The BYU Cougars come into this game looking to build on a 66-60 win over San Diego State last time out. Alex Barcello has 20.5 PPG with 3.5 APG as the lone double-digit scorer for the Cougars through the first two games of the season while Te’Jon Lucas has 9 PPG and a team-high 4 APG and Caleb Lohner leads BYU with 8.5 PPG along with his 7 PPG as well this season. As a team, BYU is averaging  67.5 PPG on 41.3% shooting from the field, 24.3% from three and 80% from the foul line while allowing 59.5 PPG on 37.6% from the field and 18.4% from three this season.

The Oregon Ducks will be hoping to add to an 86-63 win over Saint Mary’s in their last game. Will Richardson leads the Ducks in scoring with 19 PPG along with 3 RPG and 2 APG while Jacob Young has 16 PPG and Eric Williams Jr. has 13 PPG with 5 RPG and a team-high 2.5 APG this season. De’Vion Harmon and Rivaldo Soares each have 10 PPT with Soares adding 6 RPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers for Oregon through their first two games of the year while Quincy Guerrier has 8.5 PPG and a team-high 9 RPG as well this season. As a team, Oregon is averaging 84.5 PPG on 45.7% shooting from the field, 37.5% from three and 71.4% from the foul line while allowing 64.5 PPG on 41.9% from the field and 31.1% from three this season.

BYU is 5-0-2 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog and 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a win while the under is 8-1 in their last 9 Tuesday games. Oregon is 14-5 ATS in their last 19 neutral site games and 38-18 ATS in their last 56 games following a win while the over is 10-2 in their last 12 games overall.

This is shaping up to be one hell of a game on Tuesday night and with that said, I’m leaning towards the over. This just seems like too low of a number between two heavyweight programs that are more than capable off filling it up. I think both teams easily get into the 70s here in a game that should be lined closer to 150 than where it currently is. Give me the over.
