The Nevada Wolf Pack and the San Francisco Dons meet Thursday in college basketball action from War Memorial Gym. Nevada is 1-2 so far and fresh off a loss to Santa Clara in their last game. As for the Dons, they’re cruising right along at 4-0 thus far. San Francisco beat Samford handily in their last outing. Nevada put up a good effort versus Eastern Washington in their opener. The Wolf Pack scored 48 points in the second half on the way to a nice 91-76 win. Game two ended up as a loss, though. Nevada stumbled in a 75-68 defeat at the hands of San Diego.

On Tuesday against a tricky Santa Clara team, the Wolf Pack lost again. Nevada had a 42-39 advantage at the break, but allowed 57 points from there in a 96-74 defeat. Grant Sherfield was the lead scorer in the loss with 23 points, six assists and three rebounds.

Over on the San Francisco side, they beat LIU 98-64 in their opener this year, then came back with a big 92-76 win over Prairie View A&M in game two. The Dons had to work a little harder to dispatch Davidson, but did so in a 65-60 result.

Back on Monday against Samford, the Dons were able to keep their streak going. The defense was strong with just 26 points allowed in the first half during an eventual 77-55 win. Jamaree Bouyea was tops in that one with 19 points, six assists and five boards.

San Francisco is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 at home and 0-7 ATS in their last seven after an ATS win. The Dons are 7-15 ATS in their last 22 overall.

Meanwhile, the Wolf Pack are 14-6 ATS in their last 20 overall and 4-0 ATS in their last four on Thursday. The over is 7-1 in Nevada’s last eight overall.

PICK: I’m going to stick with San Francisco. Outside of the relative scare in the Davidson game, the Dons have been playing very well so far. San Francisco put up 43.9 percent shooting in their last game versus Samford, collecting 17 assists and winning the rebound battle 38-28.

As for Nevada, they haven’t been scoring too badly so far but they’re giving up a ton of points on the other side. San Francisco is going to want to get off to a good first-half start here; if they can do that I think they’ll have no issues cruising to a cover.
