Wofford started off the year on a nice 4-1 run with wins over Bob Jones, Erskine, Hampton and Georgia Southern. Since then it’s been a 2-2 run for the Terriers: losses to South Carolina and Richmond alongside wins over Georgia and Kennesaw State.

In the Kennesaw State game on Sunday, the Terriers posted a 39-30 halftime edge and cruised from there with 49 more points in an 88-62 win. BJ Mack topped the team with 24 points, and Austin Patterson added 20 points with four boards.

Over on the Bulldogs’ side, they opened the year at 0-3 before rattling off a four-game win streak. Those victories came over Carver, CIU, Western Carolina and NC Central. The steak was stopped on Saturday with a loss to East Carolina.

In the Saturday matchup against East Carolina, Gardner-Webb had a 27-23 advantage at the break. The Bulldogs were outscored 39-25 from there in a 62-52 defeat, however. Jordan Sears led the team with 12 points, two rebounds and two assists.

The Bulldogs are 5-2 ATS in their last seven Wednesday games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up loss. Gardner-Webb is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 overall.

Meanwhile, the Terriers are 1-7 ATS in their last eight Wednesday games and 5-1 ATS in their last six as a favorite. The under is 10-3 in the Terriers’ last 13 road games.

PICK: I’m going to stay on Wofford here. The Terriers have been spotty over their last four games (thanks to some tricky matchups), but generally they’ve done well against whatever competition comes their way this season. Wofford shot 52 percent from the field in their last game, posting 26 rebounds and 12 team assists along the way.

As for Gardner-Webb, they had a bad second half against a solid East Carolina team in their last matchup and didn’t shoot well overall (34.5 percent). The Bulldogs are going to need to get the offense moving if they want to keep up here.
