The Belmont Bruins and the Saint Louis Billikens meet in college basketball action from Chaifetz Arena on Tuesday night.

The Belmont Bruins will look to add to their 85-73 win over Samford in their last game. Nick Muszynski leads the Bruins in scoring and rebounding with 17.5 PPG and 6.3 RPG while Ben Sheppard has 15.9 PPG and Will Richard has 11.3 PPG with a team-high 6.4 RPG as the Bruins’ top rebounder, also rounding out the trio of double-digit scorers for Belmont up to this point in the season. Grayson Murphy also has 8.1 PPG with 5.9 RPG and a team-high 5.1 APG as well this season. As a team, Belmont is averaging 79.2 PPG on 47.5% shooting from the field, 34.9% shooting from three and 75.3% from the foul line while allowing 72 PPG on 43.4% shooting from the field and 33.5% from three this season.

The Saint Louis Billikens will be out to bounce back from a 77-72 loss at the hands of UAB in their last game. Gibson Jimerson leads the Billikens in scoring with 16 PPG while Marten Linssen has 11.3 PPG with 4.3 RPG and Jordan Nesbitt has 9.7 PPG with 4.9 RPG as well this season. Yuri Collins has 9.2 PPG with a team-high 6.9 APG while Francis Okoro has a team-high 7.3 RPG as well for the Billikens up to this point in the season. As a team, Saint Louis is averaging 86.3 PPG on 48.3% shooting from the field, 39.3% from three and 76.5% from the foul line while allowing 67.8 PPG on 42.2% shooting from the field and 32.8% from three this season.

Belmont is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 3-0-1 in their last 4 games following a win. Saint Louis is 15-6-1 ATS in their last 22 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games overall.

I get the case that could be made for both sides here, but I’m ultimately leaning towards Belmont and the points in this one. The Bruins have played some tough competition and Saint Louis has been at their best against teams that turn the ball over and that’s simply not something that Belmont does. I think the Bruins keep this one within a point or two if they don’t win this game outright. Give me the Bruins and the points here.
