The Columbia Lions and the Princeton Tigers meet Friday in college basketball action from Jadwin Gym. Columbia is 3-9 so far this year and coming off a loss to Sacred Heart. As for the Tigers, they’re 10-3 on the season. Princeton beat Kean in their last game. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Columbia started the year on a 2-2 clip before losses to Lehigh, Boston College, Lafayette and UMBC. After a win over Maine the Lions hit another losing streak to Colgate, Albany and Sacred Heart over the next trio.

Back on December 13 versus Sacred Heart, the Lions were outscored 47-36 in the second half on the way to a 79-69 defeat. Liam Murphy was the leading scorer with 20 points and four rebounds. Ike Nweke added 17 points and six boards.

Over on the Tigers’ side, they kicked off the year at 5-3 with wins over Rutgers-Camden, South Carolina, Marist, Oregon State and Fairleigh Dickinson. Since then it’s been a win streak versus Drexel, Bucknell, Lafayette, UMBC and Kean.

In the Kean game on December 21, the Tigers scored 55 points in the first half and 45 more from there in a 100-59 win. Ethan Wright and Max Johns led the squad with 13 points apiece, combining for three assists and six rebounds.

Princeton is 4-0 ATS in their last four Friday games and 18-8 ATS in their last 26 overall. The over is 6-0 in the Tigers’ last six overall.

Meanwhile, the Lions are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 Friday games and the over is 19-7 in their last 26 overall. The over is 7-2 in Columbia’s last nine road games.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Princeton, even though the line is pretty darn thick. It’s been a long time since either of these teams has seen the floor though, so it’s tough telling what we’ll get from either one. That said, the Tigers have been on a nice roll over their last seven games, posting 77 or more points in each and rolling to a 6-1 record in that stretch. Considering Columbia has been at 69 points or fewer in six of their last seven games, I don’t see the Lions keeping up for long here.
