The St. Bonaventure Bonnies and the La Salle Explorers meet in college basketball action from the Tom Gola Arena on Tuesday night.

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies will look to rebound from an 86-49 loss at the hands of Virginia Tech in their last game. Jaren Holmes leads the Bonnies in scoring and assists with 15.8 PPG and 4.5 APG along with 6.6 RPG as well while Kyle Lofton has 15.6 PPG with 5.5 APG. Jalen Adaway has 13.6 PPG with a team-high 7.6 RPG to lead the Bonnies on the glass while Dominick Welch has 11.2 PPG with 5.4 RPG and Osun Osunniyi has 10 PPG with 6.6 RPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers for St. Bonaventure up to this point in the season. As a team, St. Bonaventure is averaging 71.5 PPG on 45% shooting from the field, 33.3% from three and 77.3% from the foul line while allowing 68.5 PPG on 41.5% shooting from the field and 34.7% from three this season.

The La Salle Explorers will look to bounce back from an 85-66 loss at the hands of the VCU Rams in their last game. Josh Nickelberry has a team-high 11.9 PPG while Clifton Moore has 11.2 PPG with 6.2 RPG as the only other double-digit scorer for La Salle up to this point in the year. Jhamir Brickus has 9.5 PPG while Christian Ray has a team-high 7.5 RPG to lead the Explorers on the glass and Anwar Gill has a team-high 4 APG to lead La Salle in assists. As a team, La Salle is averaging 69.3 PPG on 41.6% shooting from the field, 33% from three and 66.2% from the foul line while allowing 72.3 PPG on 43.2% shooting from the field and 34.8% from three this season.

St. Bonaventure is 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a losing record and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games overall while the under is 10-3 in their last 13 road games. La Salle is 5-13-1 ATS in their last 19 games overall and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games while the over is 7-3 in their last 10 home games against a team with a winning road record.

I get why the Bonnies would be favored in this spot, as St. Bonaventure is the better team. However, the Bonnies haven’t played in over three weeks and I’m thinking there could be some rust here. On the other side, La Salle has had a couple of games since the break, but they haven’t looked all that good in those games. I think this is a lower-scoring game and I don’t know how we get up to this number so give me the under in this one.
