The Tulane Green Wave and the Wichita State Shockers meet in college basketball action from the Charles Koch Arena on Wednesday night.

The Tulane Green Wave come into this game looking to build on a 68-54 win over USF in their last game. Jalen Cook leads Tulane in scoring and assists with 19.4 PPG along with 3.5 APG while Jaylen Forbes has 15.1 PPG with 4.5 RPG and Kevin Cross has 13.7 PPG with a team-high of 6.2 RPG and 3.5 APG to lead the Green Wave in rebounding and to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Tulane so far this season. As a team, Tulane is averaging 73.1 PPG on 44.4% shooting from the field, 36.7% from three and 73% from the foul line while allowing 72.2 PPG on 42.7% shooting from the field and 32.2% from three this season.

The Wichita State Shockers will try to bounce back from back-to-back losses after a 76-66 loss to Houston in their last game. Tyson Etienne leads the Shockers in scoring with 14.6 PPG with 2.4 RPG while Morris Udeze has 11.2 PPG with a team-high 5.5 RPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Wichita State up to this point in the year as well as the Shockers’ top rebounder. Ricky Council IV has 9.6 PPG with 5.1 RPG while Craig Porter Jr. has a team-high 3 APG as well on the year. As a team, Wichita State is averaging 68.4 PPG on 40.2% shooting from the field, 30.5% from three and 72.9% from the foul line while allowing 64.2 PPG on 40.9% shooting from the field and 28.6% from three this season.

Tulane is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a win while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 games overall. Wichita State is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 games following a loss.

I get why you’d side with Wichita State laying points, as the Shockers are at home and tend to play their best ball on their home floor. However, I’ve actually been impressed with Tulane as of late, as this Green Wave team has piced up wins in some fairly improbable spots and Wichita State hasn’t been overly consistent when it comes to laying points as of late including their losses to Memphis and North Texas in recent games. I’ll side with Tulane and the points in this one.
