The South Carolina Gamecocks and the Arkansas Razorbacks meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Bud Walton Arena. South Carolina is 10-6 so far this season and coming off a loss to Florida. As for Arkansas, they’re sitting at 12-5 this year. The Razorbacks beat LSU in their last game. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

South Carolina put up a pretty nice 9-3 run in their first 12 games this year, taking losses to Princeton, Coastal Carolina and Clemson. It’s been a 1-3 run in the last quartet however; the losses have come versus Auburn, Tennessee and Florida.
Matched up against Florida on Saturday, the Gamecocks trailed by eight points at halftime. South Carolina kept the pace from there but ended up with a 71-63 loss. Top scorer on the team was Chico Carter with 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting.

Over on the Arkansas side, they managed wins in each of their first nine games before a 1-5 stretch that contained losses to Oklahoma, Hofstra, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M. The last two games have been wins over Missouri and LSU.

In the LSU game Saturday, the Razorbacks were a bit sluggish in the first half. Arkansas went on a 34-25 second-half run to bag an eventual 65-58 win, though. The Razorbacks’ JD Notae topped the scoring on 19 points, three rebounds and four assists.

Arkansas is 1-4 ATS in their last five after an ATS win and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Tuesday games. The over is 8-3 in the Razorbacks’ last 11 overall.
Meanwhile, the Gamecocks are 1-5 ATS in the last six road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five Tuesday games. The under is 12-4 in Arkansas’ last 16 overall.

PICK: I’m going to stay with Arkansas. The Razorbacks posted a strong win over a good LSU team in their last matchup, shooting 41.8 percent from the floor and winning the rebounding battle 41-31. There are a few things to improve on (like just eight team assists and 19 turnovers) but it was an encouraging effort overall. South Carolina hasn’t scored all that well over their last two games (109 combined points) so they’re really going to have to push on offense in order to keep up here. I think Arkansas will keep the Gamecocks at bay.
