The SIU Edwardsville Cougars and the Morehead State Eagles meet Saturday in college basketball action from Ellis Johnson Arena. SIU Edwardsville is coming off a Thursday matchup versus Tennessee Tech. In that one, the Cougars lost by 18 points. As for Morehead State, they played Belmont in their last outing Thursday. SIU Edwardsville posted a spotty 3-6 record over their first nine games this year, then hit a win streak over Fort Wayne, UMKC and William Woods. A 1-3 stretch came afterward with losses to South Alabama, Murray State and Belmont.

PICK: I’m sticking with Morehead State. The Eagles are coming off a nice win over a good Belmont team and they’re on a roll right now. During this seven-game win streak, Morehead State has hit 71 or more points five times. Overall the team has scored quite well this year (outside of the occasional dud) and they’re keeping opponents in check on defense.
