The George Washington Colonials and the Saint Louis Billikens meet in college basketball action from the Chaifetz Arena on Wednesday night.

The George Washington Colonials will look to build on their 63-61 win over Rhode Island last time out. James Bishop leads GW in scoring with 15.5 PPG while Joe Bamisile has 14.6 PPG with 5.9 RPG to make up the pair of double-digit scorers for GW so far this season. Brendan Adams has 9.3 PPG while Ricky Lindo Jr. has 8.7 PPG with a team-high 8.1 RPG and Brayon Freeman has 3.1 APG as well to lead the Colonials so far this season. As a team, George Washington is averaging 64.5 PPG on 41.5% shooting from the field, 29% from three and 66.1% from the foul line while allowing 71.1 PPG on 44.1% shooting from the field and 29.6% from three this season.

The Saint Louis Billikens will look to build on their 90-59 win over UMass last time out. Gibson Jimerson leads the Billikens in scoring with 17.8 PPG while Yuri Collins has 10.7 PPG with a team-high 8.1 APG this season. Jordan Nesbitt has 9.9 PPG with 4.8 RPG while Marten Linssen has 9.4 PPG with 4.1 RPG this season. Francis Okoro has 8.9 points with a team-high 7.4 RPG as well for the Billikens up to this point in the season. Terrence Hargrove Jr. also has 8.7 PPG with 5.2 RPG this season. As a team, Saint Louis is averaging 79.4 PPG on 46.1% shooting from the field, 36.8% from three and 76.4% from the foul line while allowing 67.5 PPG on 40.9% shooting from the field and 30.6% from three this season.

George Washington is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as a road underdog and 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600 while the under is 6-0 in their last 6 Wednesday games. Saint Louis is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a losing record and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games against a team with a losing road record while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall.

I get why Saint Louis is favored here and I agree that the Billikens likely win this game. However, this still feels like a little bit of a lot for a Billikens team that hasn’t blown a ton of teams away this season. The last two home games have been beatdowns handed out by the Billikens, but I’ll take my chances with GW here to sneak in the backdoor for a cover with the points in this one.
