The 12th ranked UCLA Bruins will travel to Maples Pavilion to take on the Stanford Cardinal this Tuesday night in College Basketball action.

The 12th ranked UCLA Bruins lost their 2nd straight game and dropped to 16-4 on the season after defeating the Arizona State Sun Devils, 87-84 (3OT), this past Saturday. UCLA was able to fight back from a 45-34 2nd half deficit to force OT, however, the Bruins could not fight back after a Jalen Graham jumper gave the Sun Devils a 84-78 lead with 1:51 left in triple OT. UCLA shot just 37.2% from the field & 22.7% from beyond the arc while allowing Arizona State to shoot 40.3% shooting from the field & 34.4% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Bruins was Jaime Jaquez Jr. who had a double-double with 27 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, & 1 steal.

On the season, UCLA is averaging 77.7 ppg on 44.7% shooting from the field. The Bruins are averaging 7.1 three-pointers per game on 34.2% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, UCLA has been led by Johnny Juzang (17.8 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 1.8 apg), Jaime Jaquez Jr. (13.1 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1.3 spg), Jules Bernard (13.0 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 1.9 apg), & Tyger Campbell (11.1 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 4.6 apg, 1.3 spg).

Defensively, UCLA is holding their opponents to an average of 65.7 ppg on 41.1% shooting from the field. The Bruins have a rebound margin of 3.5 and a turnover margin of 4.7.

The Stanford Cardinal improved to 14-8 on the season after defeating the Washington Huskies, 87-69, this past Sunday. Stanford was outstanding on both ends of the court in the victory and had no trouble pulling away for the win after taking a 46-33 lead into halftime. Stanford shot 50.8% from the field & 40.7% from beyond the arc while holding Washington to just 39.1% shooting from the field & 27.3% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Cardinals was Jaiden Delaire who had 18 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, & 1 steal.

On the season, Stanford is averaging 67.9 ppg on 43.1% shooting from the field. The Cardinal are averaging 7.1 three-pointers per game on 33.7% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Stanford has been led by Jaiden Delaire (11.2 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.0 apg), Harrison Ingram (11.2 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 2.6 apg), Spencer Jones (10.2 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.2 apg), & Michael O’Connell (7.0 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 3.9 apg, 1.0 spg).

Defensively, Stanford is allowing their opponents to average 68.3 ppg on 44.0% shooting from the field. The Cardinals have a rebound margin of 8.2 and a turnover margin of -3.8.

The Bruins are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games & 13-7 ATS in their last 20 games vs. Stanford. The Cardinal are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 Tuesday games & just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog.

Stanford is an impressive 10-2 at home this season, however, this is a Cardinal team that can struggle on both ends of the court as they come into this game ranked just 268th in scoring offense, 235th in FG%, & 241st in defensive FG% and recently loss to UCLA on the road by a 66-43 margin. UCLA hasn’t looked great on the road lately as they are coming off back-to-back road losses to Arizona & Arizona State, however, there is no doubt that the Bruins aren’t the better team in this one and as I think Mick Cronin has the Bruins more than ready to bounce back in this one, I think the Bruins will this by double-digits and cover this spread. Good Luck!
