Oral Roberts posted a sketchy 7-6 run over their first 13 games this year, but they haven’t lost consecutive outings since. The Eagles last lost to Western Illinois on February 3, and since then they’ve beaten St. Thomas MN and Kansas City.
Matched up against the Roos on Saturday, the Eagles were down 35-45 by halftime. Oral Roberts went on a 56-41 run from there to take the 91-86 comeback win. Max Abmas led the team on his 19 points and three assists.
Over on the North Dakota State side, they hit an 11-7 clip out of the gate through their first 18 games this year. The Bison have been on a five-game win streak over Omaha, Denver, South Dakota, Western Illinois and St. Thomas MN since then.
Back on Saturday versus St. Thomas MN, the Bison trailed by three at the break. North Dakota State hit a 44-30 second-half run on the way to the 75-64 win. Sam Griesel was the leading team scorer on his 24 points and nine boards.
The Bison are 2-12-2 ATS in their last 16 at home and 4-1 ATS in their last five after an ATS win. ND State is 5-2 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up win.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are 13-5-1 ATS in their last 19 road games and 2-5 ATS in the last seven overall. Oral Roberts is 7-2 ATS in their last nine after an ATS loss.
PICK: I’m going to try North Dakota State here. I could really go either way on this one, though. It should be a really fun matchup. In any case, the Bison are scoring great this season. They’ve hit 71 or more points in every game since way back on December 10. The last time these teams met up, North Dakota State pulled off a tight 72-71 road victory. Considering the Eagles have hit 71 or more in 15 straight games themselves, I’d say this one will be another tight, high-scoring game.
