The Florida Gators will travel to Stegeman Coliseum to take on the Georgia Bulldogs this Saturday night in College Basketball action.

The Florida Gators dropped to 17-11 on the season after being defeated by the 18th ranked Arkansas Razorbacks, 82-74, this past Tuesday. Florida led by a 62-56 margin with just 7:28 left in regulation, however, the Gators defense struggled down the stretch and could not fight back after the Razorbacks took a 77-71 lead with just :40 seconds left in regulation. Florida shot 44.8% from the field & 32.0% from beyond the arc while allowing Arkansas to shoot 46.0% from the field & 38.9% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Gators was Colin Castleton who had 29 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, & 1 block.

On the season, Florida is averaging 69.9 ppg on 42.2% shooting from the field. The Gators are averaging 8.0 three-pointers per game on 30.5% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Florida has been led by Colin Castleton (16.3 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 1.5 apg, 2.6 bpg), Tyree Appleby (11.0 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 3.8 apg, 1.4 spg), Phlandrous Fleming Jr. (10.1 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.4 spg), & Myreon Jones (8.8 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.3 spg).

Defensively, Florida is holding their opponents to an average of 64.7 ppg on 43.1% shooting from the field. The Gators have a rebound margin of -1.2 and a turnover margin of 2.1.

The Georgia Bulldogs lost their 8th straight game and dropped to 6-22 on the season after being defeated by the Texas A&M Aggies, 91-77, this past Tuesday. Georgia struggled with turnovers against Texas A&M and could not fight back after the Aggies took a 73-59 lead with 6:55 left in regulation. Georgia shot 60.0% from the field & 54.2% from beyond the arc while allowing Texas A&M to shoot 56.1% from the field & 34.8% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Kario Oquendo who had 33 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, & 1 steal.

Offensively, Georgia has been led by Kario Oquendo (15.1 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.1 spg), Braelen Bridges (12.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 1.8 apg), Aaron Cook (10.1 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 5.6 apg, 1.2 spg), & Noah Baumann (8.7 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.0 apg).

Defensviely, Georgia is allowing their opponents to average 78.1 ppg on 47.3% shooting from the field. The Bulldogs have a rebound margin of -1.0 and a turnover margin of -3.8.

The Gators are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games & 3-6 ATS in their last 9 games vs. Georgia. The Bulldogs are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games & 2-4 ATS in their last 6 Saturday games.

Georgia was able to get a cover against Florida earlier this season in a 72-63 loss, however, the Bulldogs did not look great in that loss as they shot just 37.5% from the field & 20.0% from beyond the arc. Georgia has really struggled on the defensive end this season, ranking just 334th in scoring defense & 338th in defensive FG% and is just 6-11 at home on the season. Florida has struggled on the road, however, the Gators have a great defense that ranks 47th in scoring defense & 67th in turnover margin, and as Georgia has lost their last 4 games by an average of 15.5 ppg, I think Florida does enough to cover this mid-range road spread. Good Luck!
