The Missouri Tigers and the LSU Tigers meet Saturday in college basketball action from Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Missouri is 10-18 on the year so far. The Tigers lost to Tennessee in their last game. As for LSU, they’re currently 19-9 and coming off a loss to Kentucky. Missouri has had quite the choppy year thus far. The Tigers have only been able to win consecutive games once. Since their last win, Missouri has fallen to Arkansas, Mississippi State (twice) and Tennessee in a four-game streak.

Matched up against Tennessee on Tuesday, Missouri was down 27-36 by the break. The Tigers didn’t get any closer in an 80-61 defeat. Leading team scorer Javon Pickett finished on 16 points with three boards and two assists.

Over on the LSU side, they posted a nice 15-1 run to open the season. The Tigers have gone just 4-8 since then, however. Following a recent three-game win streak, LSU has lost to South Carolina and Kentucky in their last pair.

On Wednesday versus Kentucky, LSU was up 31-23 at halftime. The Tigers were outscored 35-48 the rest of the way in a rough 71-66 defeat. Xavier Pinson topped the team with his 26 points, eight assists and two rebounds.

LSU is 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 at home and 0-4 ATS in their last four after an ATS win. LSU is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall.
Meanwhile, Missouri is 3-10 ATS in their last 13 road games and 6-1 ATS in their last seven Saturday games. The under is 4-1 in Missouri’s last five after an ATS loss.

PICK: I’ve got to stick with LSU here. It’s been a rough couple of games for LSU; they’ve fallen to South Carolina by two points, then couldn’t hang on versus Kentucky. The good news is that LSU has still been scoring pretty well with 69 or more points in four of their last five outings.

As for Missouri, they’ve been at 61 or fewer points for four straight games in some difficult matchups. It’s not going to get much easier here, so I like LSU a little better on the home cover.
