Wisconsin hasn’t lost consecutive games all season so far. The team has been adept at bouncing back from adversity. Since their last loss to Rutgers, the Badgers have managed wins over Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota.

In the Minnesota game on Wednesday, the Badgers held a slim two-point lead by halftime. Wisconsin was outscored 30-31 from there but held on for the 68-67 win. Tops in scoring was Steven Crowl with 20 points and seven rebounds.

Over on the Rutgers side, they had a 2-5 run back in November/December but have done fairly well in the Big Ten games since then. The Knights had a win streak going versus Michigan State, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Illinois but then lost to Purdue and Michigan.

Matched up against the Wolverines on Wednesday, the Knights had a 30-32 deficit going into the break. Rutgers couldn’t get any closer in the second half in a 71-62 loss. Ron Harper led the team with his 19 points and eight rebounds.

The Knights are 7-1 ATS in their last eight at home and 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven overall. Rutgers is 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 Saturday games.

Meanwhile, the Badgers are 1-7 ATS in their last eight Saturday games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall. The over is 4-0 in Wisconsin’s last four overall.

PICK: I’m going to go with Wisconsin here. The last time these teams met up, Rutgers managed an impressive 73-65 road victory back on February 12. The Knights shot a nice 51 percent to Wisconsin’s 47.3 percent, and Rutgers won the rebounding battle 29-28.

Since then, Wisconsin has flexed their muscles with three straight wins. The Badgers have hit 68 or more points in four of their last five games, and they’re going to need a good offensive showing here. We should have a fun matchup on our hands, and I like the Badgers to power out a tight road cover.
